“Valley Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Douglas County, NE that dates back to 1881. We have a cemetery board of 6 members and 2 adjunct members that work hard on genealogy and researching the interred to learn more about the history of our town. However, with historic monuments and gravestones comes wear and tear from age and the elements that we are inexperienced in repairing. Our town also had a flood in 2018, and others in the past, that no doubt may have contributed to the current state of some of our historic stones and some more current.”
