2026 Location Request Form

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all previous hosts, participants, and sponsors for making past years' events successful and memorable.

To ensure that all events hosted as part of Atlas Preservation’s 48 State Tour are inclusive, accessible, and enjoyable for all participants, we are implementing updated requirements for those interested in hosting events at their cemetery locations. These requirements are designed to create a welcoming and accommodating experience for all attendees while maintaining the high standards expected of our tour.

UPDATE: We had planned to hold a 2025 tour but due to logistical challenges we were not able to follow through. We apologize. Please resubmit your information if you are still interested in hosting a 2026 event!

Submission deadline is April 10th, 2026.

New Host Requirements:

  1. Permission: Permission to hold the event is absolutely essential from whoever has stewardship of the site. This may include a church, municipality, a sexton or superintendent, a cemetery board of directors, etc.

  2. Parking On Site: Adequate parking facilities at the event location are mandatory, including handicap accessible spaces. Hosts must confirm the availability of on-site parking to accommodate attendees.

  3. Restroom Facilities: Restroom facilities must be available on-site. If no permanent restrooms exist, portable restrooms must be arranged. Please note that it is not adequate for a restroom facility on site to be 1/2 mile away from where we are working. There needs to be accommodations in close proximity to the work site.

  4. Required Materials: Hosts must have specific materials available, including crushed stone and potable water, to meet the needs of the event.

  5. Host Fee: Atlas Preservation and Endurance Restoration Products as primary sponsors will cover the vast majority of the tour costs. We highly encourage hosts to procure materials ahead of the event.

  6. Location Vetting via Video: To accurately assess the suitability of a proposed location, hosts are strongly encouraged to submit a complimentary video as part of their location request form. Photos alone are insufficient for vetting purposes. We need to determine the condition of the site, including stone embedded into concrete, excessive use of herbicide, and to overall assess the availability of adequate work needed in order to make for a successful event.

  7. Phone Conversation: Once the list of potential hosts is narrowed down, a phone conversation with Jonathan will be required to finalize the selection process.

  8. Promotional Plan: A clear and detailed promotional plan must be provided. Local promotion is essential to the success of the events. Hosts should outline their strategy for engaging the community and attracting attendees.

To sum it up these updated requirements aim to enhance the quality, inclusivity, and accessibility of our 48 State Tour events. By setting these standards, we ensure that each event aligns with our mission of preservation, education, and community engagement. Thank you for your cooperation in making this initiative a success.
