“Originally, Nine Mile Cemetery was at least three separate cemeteries. The United Cemetery, Miners Union Cemetery, and Catholic Cemetery. Each one of these is now a section in Nine Mile.
The Nine Mile Cemetery Association is in charge of the cemetery. The organization was founded in 1965 and operates under a board of directors.
