Parking

There is no formal Parking but folks will be available to direct people to park on the side and rear of the cemetery. This event is being put on by the Chestnut St. Cemetary Committee which is a part of the Apalachicola Historical Society.

Cemetery Information

”Chestnut Street cemetery was developed in the 1820s and is the final resting place for many of Apalachicola’s prominent citizens, including a botanist and steamer captains.It has classic Southern charm with the live oaks, Spanish moss, and exclusive Chapman oaks. It’s monuments include a zinc and a slate monument. The cemetery is an amazing example of the artistry of the time with numerous exquisitely carved marble and granite monuments.”
