This past fall (2021), vandals smashed, snapped, and toppled many of the oldest stones in Kinkead Cemetery, including what may be a stone attached to one of the earliest burials in the cemetery. Samuel Hatch, a soldier who died in 1865.
Many of the stones were already in states of disrepair, but the vandalism has brought local attention to the needs of the local cemeteries.
We are very excited to get to Kinkead to help restore the unfortunate outcome of vandalism, which happens all too often around the country.
